CONNECTING YOUR SPEAKERS
First, speaker wire. Generally we recommend 12–18 gauge wire. If the run is longer than 40-50 feet, we recommend you use the thicker 12-gauge speaker wire for the best performance. Remember: your wires need to be the same length within a given plane (front, surround and rear or back). For example, if the longest speaker wire for the left front, center and right front speakers is 10', all three front speaker wires should be 10' as well. Use the same formula for the surround and rear speakers. As for terminating your speaker wire, banana plugs are the most convenient. Since Nucoustix Entertainment speakers have five-way binding posts, you can use banana plugs, spades, pin connectors or bare wire.

CONNECTING YOUR SUBWOOFER
Your Nucoustix Entertainment subwoofer uses a special RCA-type cable designed especially for subwoofers. However, if your A/V receiver is older, or doesn't have a subwoofer output, you can wire your subwoofer through its speaker-level connections. To save yourself a lot of hassle, make sure you check your connection method before purchasing wires.

QUALITY WIRES AND CABLES
We suggest you choose high quality speaker wires and cables. They will enhance the performance of your system and are well worth the investment.

SPEAKER PEDESTALS & MOUNTING BRACKETS
Depending on your room ARRANGEMENT, you will need a combination of speaker pedestals and/or mounting brackets. For your front left and right speakers, we recommend using a pair of our VMS™ Pedestals or VMS Wall Brackets. This will put them at approximately ear-level, which is the ideal height for your front speakers. Your center channel speaker usually goes right on the top of your TV or you can use our VMS Bookshelf Brackets or VMS Wall Brackets. For your surround speakers, you will get the best performance with our VMS Bookshelf Brackets or VMS Wall Brackets. These let you place the surround speakers at the optimum height of 1-2 feet above ear level.
